2. SetUpdate The OpenJDK JRE

(Although the output may change in the future, although Java versions have been updated to LTS status or the current LTS package is receiving updates.)

3. Install Oracle HotSpot JRE
Be Sure To Download The Oracle HotSpot JRE Binaries
Download the JRE binaries in .tar.gz (tarball) format by name from your website. An Oracle account is required to download the Oracle HotSpot JRE type.
Oracle does not currently offer JRE packages for Java 11 or later from the website. In this tutorial, we’ll take advantage of the Oracle HotSpot JRE version so that you can be
8u291 (Java 8 revision 291).
Create a directory for the In jre installation with:
sudo mkdir / usr / local / java
Move the JRE binaries to directory:
sudo mv jre-8u291-linux-x64.tar.gz / usr / local / java
Set the directory:
cd / usr / local / java
Unpack our own archive:
sudo tar zxvf jre-8u291-linux-x64.tar.gz
To mark the space, remove the tarball and also run:
sudo rm jre-8u291 - Linux - x64.tar.gz
Tell the system which JRE is installed:
sudo --install update-alternatives "/ usr / bin / java" "java" "/ usr / local / java / jre1.8.0_291 / bin / java "1
Then read the installation by running:
You should get the following:
